چکیده
In agroecosystems, effective straw return modes are one of the key practices for increasing soil fertility and carbon (C) availability. Although they improve quality, there is currently little information available regarding influence distinct with respect to potential organic (SOC) sequestration. this study, we established a five-year (2015–2019) field experiment in Mollisols Northeast China, which included four modes, plow tillage as control (PTS), rotary (RTS), strip (RSS), (PSS), investigate impact on physicochemical properties, aggregates, C The results reveal that RSS effectively improved properties. Such responses increased contents SOC, fulvic acid (FAC), humin (HMC) all layers (0–30 cm). proportion macroaggregates was higher RSS, whereas silt/clay lowest at depths 0–20 cm; consequently, mean weight diameter (MWD) geometric (GMD) were cm due physical structure. 0–10 20–30 layers, highest humic (HAC) concentrations associated aggregate sizes found contrast 10–20 cm, had HMC. Structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed transformation mainly mediated through silt/clay-associated FAC, HMC, ultimately determining HAC (81%) HMC (85%) primary humus fractions SOC Therefore, study shows suitable mode improving stability, sequestration China.

Soil organic carbon sequestration potential of cropland in China
[1] Soil organic carbon (SOC) in cropland is of great importance to the global carbon (C) balance and to agricultural productivity, but it is highly sensitive to human activities such as irrigation and crop rotation. It has been observed that under certain improved management practices, cropland soils can sequestrate additional C beyond their existing SOC level before reaching the C saturation ...

Land disturbance during mining results in loss of soil organic carbon (SOC). Reclamation of minelands can lead to recuperation and sequestration of SOC. The SOC thus accumulated, not only replenishes SOC losses but may also offset additional carbon di-oxide (CO2) emission. The assessment of the above was done on a chronosequence of reclaimed minesoils comprising pasture with topsoil application...

[1] Surface soils hold the largest terrestrial organic carbon pool, although estimates of the world’s soil organic carbon storage remain controversial, largely due to spatial data gaps or insufficient data density. In this study, spatial distribution and storage of soil organic carbon in China are estimated using the published data from 34,411 soil profiles investigated during China’s second na...
متن کاملSoil organic carbon under different landscape attributes in croplands of Northeast China
Soil organic carbon (SOC) was measured in topsoil samples of agricultural soils from 311 locations of Jiutai County, Northeast China. The spatial characteristics of SOC were studied using the Geographic Information Systems and geostatistics. Effects of other soil physical and chemical properties, elevation, slope, soil type and land use type were explored. SOC concentrations followed a lognorma...
